The Bank Who Sold the World brings together two people who should have almost nothing in common: a banker whose world revolves around fossil fuel financing and a climate activist determined to change it. Their relationship becomes the lens through which the story explores investment banking, derivatives, options, futures and the vast financial machinery behind the energy economy. It asks what happens when the financial system that funds the old world collides with the people trying to build the next one.
